At noon of Oct. 1^st, Chinese National Day, the Chinese Embassy in Seychelles held a flag-raising ceremony in celebration of the 64^th anniversary of PRC. Over 60 members of Chinese community participated in the ceremony.

Accompanied by the National Anthem and salutes from people present, the Chinese National Flag slowly rose up, fluttering above the Embassy in the sky of Victoria.

Shi Zhongjun, Chinese ambassador to Seychelles, welcomed everyone to bless in person for the 64^th birthday of PRC. As he pointed out, since its founding in 1949, PRC has achieved remarkable progress, with a rising international status and much stronger national strength. China is striving to build itself into a prosperous, democratic and harmonious socialist country by 2050.

Ambassador Shi said, Chinese community in Seychelles not only contribute greatly to the development of Seychelles, but also care about and support the development of China. With joint efforts of all Chinese home and abroad, China will continue to prosper, which will bring more benefits to the Chinese and more honor to the country.

According to many people, it' the first time for them to attend a flag-raising ceremony on Chinese National Day in Seychelles.
