The Seychelles-China Trade and Business Promotion Association expresses firm opposition and severe condemnation of the US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, China. There is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory. The US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to China's Taiwan region has seriously damaged the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait; sending a seriously wrong signal to the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces, trampled on the One-China Principle which the three Sino-US joint communiqués stipulate, and stray further and further down a wrong and dangerous road.

Resolutely safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity is the firm will of more than 1.4 billion Chinese people and realizing the complete reunification of the motherland is the common aspiration and sacred duty of all China’s sons and daughters. Public opinion cannot be violated, and the general trend is irreversible. I hope that the Taiwan authorities will recognize the reality clearly, find their way back and return to the right path of One China and adhere to the 1992 Consensus!
