On 15 September, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Seychelles Ms. Lin Nan and Minister for Environment, Climate, Energy and Natural Resources Mrs. Marie-May Jeremie jointly attended the handover and acceptance ceremony of the China-aided Construction and Implementation of South-South Cooperation Low Carbon Demonstration Zone for Addressing Climate Change, witnessed by Vice President of Republic of Seychelles Sebastien Pillay.
